Exceptional vintage L & J G Stickley strap hinge sideboard with plate rack in an excellent rich reddish nut-brown original finish. In the close-up image of the door, the color & shade is most accurate. The finish to the top only has been enhanced after removing a water ring stain, area shown in a close-up. Original patina to the hand hammered copper hardware, worn areas on the drawer pulls from over 100 years of use highlight the pulls. Signed with the firms red decal "L.& J.G. Stickley, Handcraft", circa 1906-1912. Splined joinery in the boards of the top. Original ooze leather in one drawer. A beautiful example of this form. Measures approximately 54" wide x 48" tall x 24" deep.
